Supabase Pricing: Free Plan Limits and What Pro Adds

What the Supabase Free plan actually includes, when the project pauses, what you get at $25 on Pro, and how compute credits work.

Supabase Pricing: Free Plan Limits and What Pro Adds

Quick answer: The Supabase Free plan costs $0 and includes 50,000 monthly active users, a 500 MB database and 1 GB of file storage, but projects pause after a week of inactivity and you are limited to 2 active projects. Pro starts at $25 a month and removes the pause, with more storage and daily backups.

Checked on Supabase's pricing page on 16 October 2026. Prices and limits can change.

What the Free plan includes

According to the pricing page, Free is for passion projects and simple websites and includes:

  • Unlimited API requests
  • 50,000 monthly active users
  • 500 MB database size, with shared CPU and 500 MB RAM
  • 5 GB egress and 5 GB cached egress
  • 1 GB file storage
  • Community support

Two rules matter most: free projects are paused after 1 week of inactivity, and you are limited to 2 active projects. That makes Free fine for prototypes and learning, and risky for anything people depend on.

What Pro adds

Pro is listed as "From $25 / month", with the first project included and additional projects from $10 a month. It is everything in Free plus:

  • 100,000 monthly active users, then $0.00325 per additional user
  • 8 GB disk per project, then $0.125 per GB
  • 250 GB egress, then $0.09 per GB, and 250 GB cached egress, then $0.03 per GB
  • 100 GB file storage, then $0.0213 per GB
  • Email support
  • Daily backups stored for 7 days and 7-day log retention

Pro also has a spend cap on by default, so costs stay under control until you choose to turn it off and pay for usage beyond the included quota.

How compute credits work

Every project has its own dedicated Postgres instance, billed hourly. Paid plans include $10 a month in compute credits, enough to cover one Micro instance. Larger instances cost more:

Size Price per month Memory
Micro $10 1 GB (shared compute)
Small $15 2 GB (shared compute)
Medium $60 4 GB (shared compute)
Large $110 8 GB (2 dedicated vCPUs)
XL $210 16 GB (4 dedicated vCPUs)

The pricing page lists larger sizes up to 16XL as well. Credits offset any instance, so upgrading one project to Small means you pay the difference.

Team and Enterprise

Team is listed from $599 a month and adds SOC2 and ISO 27001, project-scoped and read-only access, SSO for the dashboard, priority email support with SLAs, 14-day backups and 28-day log retention. HIPAA is available as a paid add-on. Enterprise is custom priced and adds technical account management, uptime SLAs and 24x7 support.

Which plan to choose

  1. Experimenting or learning: Free, accepting the pause rule.
  2. A live product with real users: Pro, so projects do not pause and you get backups.
  3. Compliance or SSO requirements: look at Team, or talk to Supabase about Enterprise.

Our Supabase page covers the product, and if you deploy the front end separately, see Vercel pricing.
